We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior IT Infrastructure Manager to oversee the management and optimization of our IT installation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex server environments, network configurations, and application deployments. This role requires strong leadership skills to supervise teams, collaborate with various IT committees, and ensure the seamless operation of the organization's IT assets.
Responsibilities
- Manage the IT installation, including complex server environments, LAN and WAN networks, and application configurations.
- Serve as a consultant to the supervisor and various IT committees, providing insights and recommendations for IT projects and initiatives.
- Conduct surveys and project studies for new Ministry of Interior projects, preparing feasibility reports for review.
- Evaluate technical aspects of IT tenders for various MOI projects, ensuring adherence to standards and requirements.
- Plan, direct, and organize the design, installation, and connectivity of all projects and WAN network infrastructure to maintain operational efficiency.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and training plans for network resource administration and usage.
- Practice network asset management, including inventory maintenance, lifecycle management, and documentation.
- Lead teams in developing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting hardware, software, and communication links.
- Act as a key member of data centers and cybersecurity initiatives within the MOI.
- Supervise over 700 WAN sites of the Ministry of Interior, providing installation, administration, troubleshooting, and technical support.
- Ensure familiarity and proficiency with various technologies such as IBM Mainframe Communication Manager, VLAN, Active Directory, IBM RISC/6000 server, IBM Lotus Note mailing system, Host Front and Host on demand, Backup system Arcserve and Symantec BackupExec, IBM SNA servers problem management System Maximo, CISCO Core, Aggregation, and Access Switches and Routers, File Servers, Notebooks, printers, and peripherals.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in managing IT infrastructure in complex environments.
- Proven experience in project management, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of IT systems, networks, and applications.
- Familiarity with industry-standard technologies and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, or equivalent are desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
