  • Integration Support: Collaborate with software developers, quality assurance, and other engineering teams to integrate new features and modules into the simulation platform.
  • Change Management: Establish and enforce change control procedures, ensuring that any modifications to the software configuration are properly reviewed, approved, and documented.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of configuration management processes, build instructions, and release notes.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve software configuration issues, build errors, and environment inconsistencies to minimize downtime and support smooth simulation operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure all software configurations and deployment processes comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Support: Provide supervision and technical support to developers in the integration of their systems, ensuring that all requirements are met.
  • Prioritization: Define and manage site integration priorities.
  • Work in Progress: Provide project status updates, including risks, to upper management.

About You

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in software configuration management, preferably in naval, aerospace, aviation, or simulation software.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
    • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
    • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, JavaScript, Python, Bash) for automation.
    • Knowledge of software deployment and management in Windows environments.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the maritime domain is an asset.
  • Experience with simulation software or naval simulation systems.
  • Understanding of real-time simulation and embedded systems.
