  • Role: Data processing and computation platform team member
  • Technologies: Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Apache Trino, etc.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Bring an innovative and creative mindset to data engineering challenges
    • Design, architect, solution, implement, and test rapid prototypes
    • Focus on making code more efficient, optimizing resources, and speeding up compute workloads
    • Continuously improve engineering processes, tests, and systems
    • Collaborate with teams globally and operate in a fast-paced environment
    • Create reusable and scalable data pipelines
  • Requirements:
    • 6+ years of professional software development experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
    • Extensive software development experience with Scala, Java, or similar languages
    • Prior experience with distributed systems
    • Proficiency in cloud-native Big Data technologies
    • Demonstrated experience with software engineering and design best practices
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience with cloud control plane (AWS, GCP) or database internals
    • Contribution to open source software
    • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
