- Role: Data processing and computation platform team member
- Technologies: Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Apache Trino, etc.
- Responsibilities:
- Bring an innovative and creative mindset to data engineering challenges
- Design, architect, solution, implement, and test rapid prototypes
- Focus on making code more efficient, optimizing resources, and speeding up compute workloads
- Continuously improve engineering processes, tests, and systems
- Collaborate with teams globally and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Create reusable and scalable data pipelines
- Requirements:
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Extensive software development experience with Scala, Java, or similar languages
- Prior experience with distributed systems
- Proficiency in cloud-native Big Data technologies
- Demonstrated experience with software engineering and design best practices
- Nice to have:
- Experience with cloud control plane (AWS, GCP) or database internals
- Contribution to open source software
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
