About the Job
Cognizant is seeking a Business Analyst for our Insurance Consulting team in Charlotte, NC. As a Business Analyst, you will analyze our insurance clients' business and technology challenges and build creative solutions to drive transformation. You will deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: Project Execution, Expertise, Business Development, Practice Development, and People Development. Your role will involve participating in the requirements analysis process, developing strong working relationships with clients and team members, and building industry and domain expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Strong documentation capability and adeptness at designing process flows depicting the future state based on current pain points.
  • Review the quality of documented stories and assess the Acceptance criteria to ensure they meet the guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the BA team and Tech Leads to ensure requirements are clear.
  • Work with the BA team to own the demo of the system to business users during the Sprint demo and UAT.
  • Support the technical team in triaging defects and performing root cause analysis.
  • Streamline processes to minimize defects due to missed requirements.
  • Support the account team to publish multiple reports to keep Cognizant leadership informed.
  • Think creatively to generate new ideas for improving processes.

Qualifications

  • Around 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, including demonstrated experience in business and functional requirements elicitation, translation, and documentation.
  • Policy systems admin experience with P&C commercial lines and middle market segment.
  • Consulting skills including effective communication, expectation management, and results delivery.
  • Proven ability to be a "servant leader" in a non-hierarchical environment with an Agile mindset.
  • Personal leadership and a commitment to fostering a culture that enables exceptional outcomes, reflecting Cognizant’s Core Values.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field.
  • Background in Management Education; Master’s degree preferred.
