About the Job:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with one of our esteemed clients, recognized for their commitment to quality and innovation. As a BI Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for the development and support of internally created or supported BI applications and analytical data warehouses. This includes gathering business requirements, developing data models and solution architecture, as well as testing and troubleshooting the application. You will collaborate closely with senior management to enhance and improve BI applications.
Job Scope:
- Understand and document business requirements.
- Deep understanding of ETL methodologies, Big Data, and Data Warehousing principles and technologies.
- Work closely with business and technical teams to document, design, develop, code, and test dashboards/reports.
- Design wireframes for requested dashboards and implement proof of concept solutions.
- Conceptualize and build simple yet appealing Tableau/PowerBI dashboards with insightful details.
- Develop ad-hoc SQL queries for real-time analysis and design the data model for Big Data.
- Write QA and UAT test cases in partnership with QA engineers and validate them with business users.
- Provide training for application use to business users and troubleshoot any system bugs/issues.
- Monitor and maintain Tableau Servers.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Requirements:
Essential:
- 5+ years of experience within the field.
- 5+ years developing visualization solutions with Tableau.
- 5+ years of experience developing SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.
- 3+ years of experience with Tableau server administration.
- 3+ years of experience working with cloud solutions.
- 2+ years of experience developing data models and scripting in Snowflake DWH.
- Experience developing reports in Tableau for desktop and mobile devices.
- Demonstrable strong analysis skills.
- Ability to create and debug complex stored procedures, SQL statements, views, triggers, and functions for Snowflake, Azure/MS SQL Server.
- Familiarity with data modeling tools such as Erwin.
Desirable:
- 3+ years of experience with Azure Databricks or any cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift).
- 2+ years of experience developing data models and scripting in MS/Azure SQL.
- Programming skills utilizing Python and SQL.
- Experience with machine learning algorithms (Python, Databricks, Azure ML).
