As a Test Automation Engineer at Deriv, you will be based in our vibrant office located in Dubai’s Business Bay, known for its ultramodern architecture, luxury shopping, and vibrant nightlife. In this role, you will develop robust automation scripts that operate across web, mobile, API, and backend systems, collaborating closely with developers to integrate new features into the automation strategy. Your primary goal will be to support frequent and reliable releases by minimizing human error through effective automation. The scripts you create will act as a safety net to catch potential bugs, ensuring a seamless user experience across various platforms.
Your Responsibilities:
- Revolutionize our test automation landscape by developing flawless automation scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Make proactive, well-informed recommendations to keep us at the forefront of test automation, implementing innovative solutions effectively.
- Conduct testing across complex software scenarios, regression testing, bug retests, and negative testing, to ensure thorough coverage and quality.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other key stakeholders to streamline our testing processes.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies, frameworks, and methodologies, integrating low-code platforms and AI-driven tools as test automation evolves.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience writing automated test scripts using technologies such as Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, or Robot Framework.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
- Proficiency in CI/CD practices and tools like CircleCI, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Strong analytical skills with a drive to find root causes and simplify processes.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the fintech industry and familiarity with agile project management frameworks.
- Technical skills beyond test automation, such as Linux system administration or database administration.
- Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, GCP, or Alicloud.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Shell Scripting, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Perl.
- Familiarity with low-code or AI-based automation tools like Autify, Testim, or Katalon Studio.
