As a Principal Engineer, you will design, develop, implement and support infrastructure solutions for the group in alignment with corporate business and IT strategies, ensuring an appropriate balance between functional, service quality, and system management requirements. Your responsibility will be to engage with internal and external stakeholders while taking full responsibility for the implemented solutions and operational availability of production infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develop IT solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Ensure that designs are robust, appropriate, and high-quality conforming to corporate standards and in line with the technology strategy.
- Own, manage, and maintain solution designs of complex/large projects, products, environments, or platforms.
- Provide expert technical consultancy and guidance within the technology domain and act as a lead technical expert in delivering infrastructure solutions.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Architecture Guiding Principles.
- Track technology and business innovations, determining their relation to our IT strategy.
- Ensure implemented solutions meet service level requirements in terms of expected availability, capacity, security, performance, and reliability.
Requirements
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
- 8+ Years working in a related IT Engineering.
- Expertise in designing and managing scalable, resilient, and automated private cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in building API-driven self-service capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation frameworks.
- Experience in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipeline development and management.
- Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and IT governance principles.
