As the DevSecOps Engineering Manager at M42, you will play a crucial role in leading the integration of security practices within our DevOps processes. You will be responsible for overseeing a talented team of DevOps engineers, driving a culture of innovation, collaboration, and security excellence. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership to ensure the delivery of secure and efficient software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- DevSecOps Leadership: Provide strategic leadership in the adoption and integration of security practices within the DevOps lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is embedded in all aspects of the development and operations processes.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Drive the professional development of team members through training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Security Integration: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security measures in CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the automated detection and remediation of vulnerabilities. Work closely with security teams to align development practices with organizational security policies and standards.
- Tooling and Automation: Evaluate, implement, and manage tools and technologies that enhance DevSecOps practices, such as container security, vulnerability scanning, and code analysis tools. Automate security controls to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for enhancement in the DevSecOps pipeline and implementing solutions accordingly. Regularly assess and update security processes to address emerging threats and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of proven experience as a DevSecOps Engineer, Full stack engineer or similar role, using Agile Scrum development process.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems.
- Strong background in software development and operations.
- In-depth knowledge of security best practices and standards.
- Proven experience with cloud platforms Azure, or AWS, using azcli and awscli.
- Proficient in using CI/CD platforms (e.g., Gitlab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD).
- Familiarity with Terraform, Azure ARMs IAC tools.
- Experience with developing configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitoring Service, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for monitoring, and Graylog/Loki for logging).
- Experience in application monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, and DataDog.
- Experience in MongoDB and Redis cache.
- Understanding of networking concepts and security principles.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps expert, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Certification in Azure(must), PMP (preferred), ITIL Foundation, TOGAF(preferred), cybersecurity preferred.
