A Senior DevSecOps Engineer with a focus on Azure is a professional responsible for integrating security practices into the DevOps pipeline within the Microsoft Azure cloud environment. The role involves collaborating with development, operations, and security teams to ensure the seamless integration of security measures throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Practice DevSecOps Agile Culture: Practice Agile Scrum to continuously develop DevOps incremental products and features.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
• Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts for security-related tasks and processes.
• Security Architecture and Design: Design and implement security solutions in Azure, ensuring the protection of applications, data, and infrastructure.
• Threat Modeling & Vulnerability Management: Conduct threat modeling exercises to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities in applications and infrastructure.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM): Implement and manage Azure Active Directory (AAD) for secure identity and access management.
• Compliance and Policy Management: Stay updated on security best practices, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and security teams.
• Project Planning and Design: Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand requirements and define project objectives.
• Implementation and Execution: Lead the implementation of cloud-based solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
• Cloud Platform Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, security, and business stakeholders.
• Project Management: Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of proven experience as an Azure DevSecOps Engineer, or similar role, using Agile Scrum development process.
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Go).
• Proficient in using CI/CD platforms (e.g., Gitlab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD).
• Familiarity with Terraform, Azure ARMs IAC tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Certification in Microsoft Azure Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Administrator Preferred.
