Position

As Google's products and services grow to serve billions of users, the Strategic Negotiation team plays a crucial role in securing infrastructure for the company's future. This position combines deep market knowledge with tech industry insight to identify solutions that support Google's growth. Responsibilities include overseeing vendor and partner relationships, ensuring contract compliance on third-party agreements, and discovering cost-effective solutions for operational needs.

In this role, you will work closely with the team to identify potential locations for new data centers and establish agreements with landowners, economic development officials, utility and telecommunications companies, and data center developers. You will lead discussions on purchase and service agreements while managing a range of compliance issues related to site and infrastructure development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Finance, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience negotiating bilateral real estate agreements and managing projects of varying sizes, timelines, and scales.
  • 5 years of experience working in Middle Eastern markets.
  • Experience in data center location strategy or industrial strategy at scale.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in power transmission and distribution, telecommunications infrastructure, data center technology, and industrial electrical/cooling technology.
  • Familiarity with real estate markets in the Middle East, as well as experience in establishing infrastructure in these markets.
  • Background in collocation agreements, site selection for industrial-scale projects, real estate evaluation, acquisition, development, construction, utility agreements management, energy challenges, and implementing clean energy initiatives.
  • Experience in economic development policy, financial modeling, and the drafting/redlining of agreements.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
