As a Platform Engineer, you'll be a key player in a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Architects, AI Engineers, Designers, and Business Technology Leaders. The brightest and most creative minds collaborate with clients as one team, contributing to experiential working sessions that result in pilots leading to the deployment of enterprise-scale solutions at start-up speed.

Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a Platform Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering unique client co-creation experiences to accelerate their transformation by:
- Leveraging contemporary hybrid cloud skills like AI, analytics, DevOps, and DevSecOps.
- Understanding clients’ businesses deeply to tailor solutions effectively.
- Defining and communicating IBM’s technology value and participating in client sessions focused on various cloud technologies like Red Hat OpenShift, IBM Cloud Paks, and Kubernetes.
- Advising on solution architecture to align with best practices and facilitate deployment transitions.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with a wide range of cloud and AI technologies.
- Practical knowledge of virtualized on-premise and cloud-based computing platforms.
- Experience in automating application and infrastructure deployment workflows.
- Proven record of participating in customer-facing technical solutions teams and understanding various cloud architectures.
- Technical experience in a cloud-related domain such as Data/Analytics, Data Science, Security, or other cloud-native technologies.
- Understanding and practical application of Agile best practices.
- Proficiency in at least one common cloud-native programming language (Java, Python, HCL, Rust, Ansible, etc.).
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:
- At least 1 year in a technical operations role (e.g., site reliability or platform engineering) in hybrid-cloud and on-premise environments.
- Experience deploying and operating solutions on AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or Google Cloud.
- Experience as a Solution Architect or in a public cloud consulting role.
- Proven ability to develop collaborative client relationships at all levels within organizations.
- Knowledge of Well-Architected Frameworks from AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or Google Cloud.
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CNCF, AWS, IBM Cloud, Azure, Google Cloud, DevOps).
- Experience working in dynamic team environments and cross-functionally with teams such as Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success.
