Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will ensure client satisfaction through the formulation, development, implementation, and delivery of application solutions that respond to approved service requests. You will be responsible for the overall project plan, budget, structure, schedule, and staffing requirements for the delivery organization. This role requires you to manage efforts of IBM and client employees, as well as third-party vendors, ensuring an integrated solution meets client needs. You will need expert knowledge in PM methodologies including SEI/CMM, emerging technologies, and technical architectures pertaining to the client served, as well as a vision to influence client actions. You will hold overall responsibility for cost, schedules, and contractual deliverables while guiding functional objectives or technologies.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Environment: Professional knowledge relevant to your function/business unit and its processes.
- Communication/Negotiation: You will provide advice to other professionals, effectively utilize group dynamics, and negotiate to define approaches and goals.
- Problem Solving: You will recognize complex problems related to functional objectives, applying creativity and judgment to analyze situations and implement solutions or develop new system processes.
- Contribution/Leadership: You will provide ongoing technical/operational guidance, define objectives within specified project concepts, and have responsibility for tools and assigned resources.
- Impact on Business/Scope: You will be accountable for department outcomes and activities involving multi-functional teams, with activities impacting customer satisfaction and project costs.
