We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ITSM / End User Support Professional to join our computational health team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and providing comprehensive end-user support. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of ITSM frameworks and methodologies, coupled with a proven track record in delivering exceptional end-user support services.
Key Accountabilities & Activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive interoperability strategy, collaborating with IT teams, vendors, and healthcare stakeholders to ensure seamless data exchange between internal and external systems.
- Lead interoperability efforts for platforms such as Epic, Oracle Cerner, or InterSystems, ensuring the efficient and secure exchange of healthcare data with external entities.
- Design and implement solutions for health information exchange, fostering communication and data sharing between disparate systems and healthcare providers.
- Stay abreast of healthcare interoperability standards, such as HL7, FHIR, and CCD, ensuring that interoperability solutions align with current regulations and industry best practices.
- Design, develop, and test interfaces between different healthcare systems, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with interoperability standards.
- Provide expertise and support during the implementation of interoperability solutions, collaborating with project managers, IT teams, and external partners to ensure successful deployment.
- Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting interoperability-related issues, conducting root cause analyses, and working closely with technical teams for effective problem resolution.
- Implement quality assurance measures for healthcare data exchange, including data validation, error handling, and monitoring to ensure the integrity of interoperable systems.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, vendors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment with interoperability goals and standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards, such as HL7, FHIR, and CCD.
- Previous experience in the implementation of interoperability solutions within a healthcare environment.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in low code no code tools (e.g., Now Platform, Caspio, Power Apps) and interface engines.
- Project management skills, with the ability to create and execute interoperability project plans, manage budgets, and lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and a commitment to data security and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Interoperability Professional, with a minimum of 10 years.
- Hands-on experience with interoperability initiatives, specifically with Epic, Oracle Cerner, or Intersystem, in a hospital or healthcare setting.
