As a Security Managed Services Engineer (L2), you will play a vital role in providing managed services to clients, ensuring their security infrastructures and systems are operational. This developing engineering role involves proactive monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems, with the primary focus on restoring service to clients while adhering to service level agreements (SLAs).
Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining secure networking solutions to protect against advanced cyber threats. You will monitor network traffic, configure security systems, conduct system tests, and develop organization-wide best practices for IT security. The role also encompasses responding to network security breaches and providing technical support and guidance on network security matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure networking solutions.
- Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and configure network security systems.
- Conduct regular system tests and ensure continuous monitoring of network security.
- Develop and implement best practices for IT security.
- Respond to network security breaches and assist with related matters.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CCNP Security, PCNSE, NSE.
- Proven experience as a Security Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of security principles, techniques, and protocols.
- Familiarity with web-related technologies and protocols.
- Hands-on experience with security and networking technologies (e.g., F5 LTM + AWF, Palo Alto Firewall).
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- CCIE Security certification.
- Experience with cloud services and security.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Perl, or Shell.
