About the Job
We are looking for a passionate and driven Cloud Solution Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving customer success by acting as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with clients, and ensuring their satisfaction and retention. Your expertise will help you collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and propose suitable Oracle cloud solutions.
You will conduct technical discovery sessions to gather detailed business and technical requirements and architect comprehensive cloud solutions that meet customer needs while aligning with industry best practices. Presentations and demonstrations of Oracle cloud solutions will showcase the value our offerings bring to customers.
As a Cloud Solution Engineer, your responsibilities will include creating and delivering technical proposals, presentations, and solution documentation. You will stay updated on the latest cloud technologies by working closely with Oracle product management and engineering teams. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance during the sales cycle, including proofs of concept (POCs) and pilot projects.
Your role requires analyzing industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to deliver strategic insights to both the sales team and our customers. You will design and deliver enterprise cloud architecture that clearly communicates business value through vision, capability models, assessments, and technical architecture.
Leading cross-functional Oracle teams, you will help customers design, implement, and govern enterprise cloud architecture and solutions on time and within scope.
Key Qualifications & Competencies
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience in technology and industry, with X+ years working with public cloud platforms.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a customer-facing role such as Pre-Sales Solution Architect, focusing on enterprise cloud solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to think strategically about business and technical challenges.
- Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and technologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Relevant hyperscaler cloud certifications.
- Experience or strong familiarity with cloud implementation and adoption cycles.
- Familiarity with open source, cloud-native, and Oracle technologies.
- Degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in customer engagements to collaboratively design and implement cloud solutions.
- Gather requirements from customers and develop architectures to translate these into effective solutions.
- Implement solutions and ensure successful deployments through code development and scripting.
- Provide tailored presentations and demonstrations to customers and at conferences and events.
- Support customers from Proof of Concept (POC) through production deployment of services via resource configuration, planning, and customer education/training.
- Create and distribute technical assets, including white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for customers and sales in relation to cloud solutions and customer success.
