Responsibilities

  • Do you want to be part of a team that supports United States European Command (USEUCOM)? Peraton is looking for an Enterprise Architect to collaborate with the Government and program staff to provide technical leadership, oversight, and advisory support across Data, Optimization, Innovation, and Change activities and initiatives. You will plan, lead, and execute the development of staff as well as requirements, design, development, and documentation of complex information systems in support of USEUCOM within the Peraton Digital Engineering Framework (DEF).
  • Coordinates and collaborates with USEUCOM stakeholders and program technical staff to make sure technical solutions align with business goals and objectives. You will perform tier four architecture and engineering support and well as develop and document enterprise architecture and best practices and provides design and architectural recommendations for long-term/chronic problem resolution, such as MILCON and Installation Information Infrastructure Architecture (I3A) standards.
  • Executes business process and technical system design related to relevant applications and infrastructure. Provides technical ownership for the enterprise technology portfolio and related applications, as needed, manages activities, and creates deliverables related to solution architecture design, and implementation. Verifies that infrastructure and technical operations processes meet USEUCOM operational needs. Influences changes to standards and procedures related to maturing the platform and organization, considering, and developing solutions which align with high availability, security, and scalability expectations.
  • Troubleshoots enterprise voice, video, cloud, and data networks and evaluates the impact of architectural changes on the network as well as troubleshoot complex technical issues and identifies solutions. Communicates technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI Experience: 10+ years.

  • Skills: 10+ years of comprehensive experience in architecting modern, sustainable enterprise-scale architectures, cloud applications and solutions, enterprise scale systems modernization, cloud-native architectures, microservices architecture, and containerized applications.

  • 8+ years' experience in emerging technologies one or more architecture domains (e.g., business architecture, solutions architecture, application architecture, security architecture, data architecture).

  • 8+ years' experience designing, developing, deploying and maintaining technical solutions in the Travel and Expense (or adjacent) domain; preferably in the public sector.

  • Experience providing overall cloud-based solution architecture that includes evaluation, selection, and integration of critical technical components that meet the defined functional, non-functional and security requirements of the ETSNext program.

  • Extensive experience in technical roadmap management, technical debt management, developing proof of concept based on current and emerging technologies. Establishing transition and implementation roadmaps for large scale systems.

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in one or more current programming languages (E.g. - Java, Javascript (including AngularJS), Python, Rust, Go, Ruby, or PHP).

  • Extensive experience in using major cloud platforms (AWS preferred) to build, design, architect, deploy and support enterprise scale applications.

  • Experience in building applications as composition of decoupled services and independently deployable units using service-oriented, micro service, and/or API based architectures at an enterprise scale and event-driven applications using queues, service bus and other related patterns.

  • Experience with Containerization (i.e., Docker, Rocket, etc.), how container organization works and the application architecture to take advantage of that (Kubernetes, Universal Control Plane UCP, Helm, Flux etc). Experience in translating business requirements into technical specifications and solutions with hands-on experience in developing concepts.

  • Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
