The Role
You will be leading, architecting, engineering, working in a hybrid team with a mission to build and deliver a world-class application to our global customer base. You will be challenged to deliver software that is highly functional yet simple, feature-rich yet low latency and overall best of breed, using cloud-native technologies. You will experiment with Java, Typescript, Serverless, Event-Driven services, REST, and GraphQL endpoints with high resiliency, scalability, and low latency to challenge and improve our application and delivery across diverse regional requirements. You will be fully agile and fully empowered. You will be an innovator and a mentor.
Responsibilities
- Architect and design a cloud-native financial application
- Build, deliver, and support first-class Java Services, Microservices, and Functions to support a suite of Mobile and Web Financial applications
- Design for fault tolerance and resilience, speed, and security
- Use data-driven insights and observability to foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Balance an Agile fast-paced delivery within a highly regulated industry
- Ensure security and compliance best practice
- Work on continuously improving the application delivery processes
- Oversee and guide the technical engineering team on design decisions and architecture
- Advise and collaborate with the Product team, Product Owners, and other Stakeholders
- Be an awesome member of the team, have fun and enjoy social events
About You
You are a skilled, creative and inquisitive Technical Lead, Architect and Engineer with a passion for quality and delivery. You have hands-on experience of Java and cloud-native (primarily AWS) development using Javalin, Spring, and other libraries. You enjoy mentoring and teaching other developers to create a world-class cohesive team. You have strong communication skills, curiosity, and are a quick and eager learner.
