Ubisoft Abu Dhabi is looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join our marketing team, who will mainly focus on marketing art and, when needed, assist in game production. This role requires expertise in Photoshop, video editing, and graphic design, along with a comprehensive understanding of lighting, value structure, composition, and the aesthetic sensibilities required to create industry-competitive marketing visuals. The ideal candidate should have experience composing attractive and engaging ads, including for mobile, and must be a team player able to collaborate effectively with production team members.

Job Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the production of highly engaging marketing graphic assets under the guidance of the marketing team.
  • Create app store materials, social media assets, studio branding, in-game store icons/banners/promotions, presentations, and web and print media requests.
  • Produce engaging videos for both the project and the studio.
  • Ensure graphic elements adhere to the style prescribed by the art direction, maintaining consistency throughout the project.
  • Transform key marketing initiatives into high-quality consumer-facing visuals and video assets.
  • Monitor competitor activities to ensure our products remain at the forefront of the industry.
  • Conduct effective visual research and reference gathering.
  • Lay out new and existing marketing collateral, following corporate branding and style guidelines.
  • Convert in-game ideas/hooks into captivating marketing assets.
  • Create clear and engaging calls-to-action (CTA) to increase conversions through marketing assets.
  • Design for print media including merchandise and large-scale event installations.
  • Collaborate productively, clearly communicating ideas and issues across various disciplines.
  • Meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure while prioritizing tasks against schedules.

Qualifications

  • Passion for the gaming industry.
  • Experience in online advertising, marketing, promotions, and events.
  • Ability to effectively present ideas—both verbally and visually.
  • Interest and ability to transition between different production roles.
  • Knowledge of basic e-commerce principles.
  • Awareness of the technical constraints and demands of the advertising and gaming industries.
  • Familiarity with current graphic, visual, and stylistic trends in art, film, and games.
  • Excellent initiative, self-motivation, organizational and problem-solving skills, along with teamwork capabilities and the ability to accept and follow directions.
  • Additional skills, such as video editing and proficiency with other 2D packages like Illustrator or InDesign, experience with Zbrush or After Effects, as well as photography and other traditional arts, would be advantageous.
