Product Owner

We are looking for a technically skilled and experienced Product Owner to lead the development of innovative cybersecurity software products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of product management in Agile environments within the cybersecurity domain, as well as strong technical acumen to bridge the gap between business and technical teams. This role is essential in defining product vision, prioritizing features, managing the full backlog, and ensuring the delivery of secure and high-quality software solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Education and Experience:

   • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
   • 5+ years of experience in product ownership or product management, focusing on cybersecurity software products in Agile environments.

2. Technical Skills:

   • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat modeling, technical stacks, and secure software development practices.
   • Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as GitHub, Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
   • Knowledge of software development processes, web interfaces, APIs, and cloud technologies.

3. Soft Skills:

   • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
   • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken) and interpersonal skills to connect technical and non-technical stakeholders.
   • Ability to manage concurrent product needs and competing priorities, making informed decisions under pressure.

4. Certifications (Preferred):

   • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification.
   • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Vision and Strategy:

  • Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap to all stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market demands.
  • Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to inform product direction.

• Backlog Management:

  • Gather and prioritize product requirements from stakeholders, including customers, security experts, and internal teams.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives.

• Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and QA validation teams.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with cybersecurity best practices.

• Cybersecurity Focus:

  • Ensure that cybersecurity principles are integrated into the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and implement robust defenses in product design.

• Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Communicate product progress, challenges, and opportunities to stakeholders and product management leadership through regular updates and presentations.

• Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive improvements.

• Product Design:

  • Lead all initiatives related to product design, ensuring that development follows the approved product designs.
