Amazon has an immediate opening for an IT Engineer in one of our Fulfillment Centers. Fulfillment Centers handle millions of items from tens of thousands of vendors and ship them across the globe each day. The successful candidate will ‘know how things work’ in his/her areas of responsibility and keep changes under control. You will build and operate infrastructure environments and provide critical input to ensure that the platform is designed with operability in mind. You will make sure that all work around infrastructure moves forward successfully. As no two days are the same in Amazon, you will thrive on changes and embrace ambiguity. Responsibilities

  • Manage the build & deploy projects, involved in the pre-delivery of the environment
  • Ensure that continuous improvement and innovation is at the forefront of what we do
  • Work on challenging and complex problems to help us scale and grow the service to meet our customer demands

Requirements

  • 2+ years of troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment
  • 2+ years of networking (such as DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP) experience
  • 2+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac, or Linux Operating systems support experience
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with coding
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire the team to deliver on complex tasks
  • Good analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences
  • A curious mindset that always questions what we can do better
  • A true team player that is happy to share knowledge and work together as a team to always innovate and improve how we work.
