About the Job
Cognizant is seeking a .NET Developer with hands-on experience in Microsoft Technologies such as ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, C#.NET, VB.NET, and SQL Server. The ideal candidate should also have experience with SQL Server / ORACLE and XML services. A strong willingness to work with vendor-based applications, manage multiple projects, and develop new applications is essential.
As a .NET Developer, you will be responsible for developing, debugging, troubleshooting issues, deploying, and supporting applications. A fair knowledge of analyzing security vulnerabilities and PCI standards in operating systems and application code is required. Candidates should have experience in establishing mutual SSL connections between systems and knowledge of secure data transfer over HTTPS.
Familiarity with integration and interfacing with various systems while adhering to security standards is important. Additionally, a good understanding of Cloud Concepts such as AWS or Azure, microservices, and containerization is beneficial. Experience with Jira and a grasp of testing processes are also required, along with an understanding of various stages of the project lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, build/configuration, testing, and rollout.
Knowledge of DevOps practices, as well as tools like BitBucket, Github, or Gitlab, will be considered an added advantage.
Qualifications

- Exposure to Jira Tool
- Understanding of testing processes and project lifecycle stages
- Knowledge of DevOps practices (preferred)
- Familiarity with version control tools (BitBucket, Github, Gitlab) is a plus
