The Senior Manager - Platform Technology is responsible for leading teams of systems engineers and systems architects dedicated to building cloud and high-performance computing (HPC) solutions. This position requires a strong technical background in technology engineering, combined with excellent leadership and communication skills to manage a diverse team of experts. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker capable of driving innovation and ensuring the successful implementation of cutting-edge solutions. Core42 is the UAE’s national-scale enabler for cloud and generative AI, integrating G42 Group’s expertise across multiple technology disciplines into a single platform for public sector and large enterprise transformations.

Responsibilities
- Manage teams of technical experts, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Lead complex projects and make critical technical decisions aligning with high-level department objectives and strategic goals.
- Ensure high quality of technical solutions and documentation produced by the teams.
- Establish collaboration frameworks with external vendors and partners.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of platforms and features.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, integrating feedback into practices.
- Develop a clear strategy for platform technology that aligns with organizational objectives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing processes to enhance speed, efficiency, and quality.
- Participate in internal forums, providing insights and recommendations.
- Establish metrics and performance targets to measure success and quality of solutions.
- Drive the adoption of IT service management (ITSM) best practices and optimize processes.
- Ensure compliance with guidelines related to HR, legal, security, compliance, risk, and quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technology field.
- Proven experience in managing and leading engineering teams.
- Over 5 years in a managerial role overseeing a team of 10+ members with successful team delivery.
- Strong technical background with 10+ years in a technical role within operations, engineering, and/or architecture.
- Ability to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of systems and network infrastructure engineering principles, focusing on Cloud and/or HPC.
- Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse workload in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with building monitoring, observability, and incident response capabilities.
- Proven track record of compliance certifications implementation.
