As a Senior Technical Engineer in the Digital Platform Services - Integration team, you will design, develop, support and deliver robust and cost-effective solutions for business and IT-led initiatives including solution development and cost estimations, configurations and deployment, business case development, and approval. You will support, contribute, and ensure solution compliance with the enterprise architecture, production processes, QMS, and other EGIT standards. Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical consultancy and guidance within the technology area and act as lead technical member in the project team delivering the assigned work packages.
  • Develop IT solutions that meet customer requirements, ensuring robust design conforms to corporate standards and aligns with the technical strategy.
  • Ensure developed architecture/solution meets service level requirements in terms of availability, capacity, continuity, security, performance, and reliability.
  • Foster the development of high-performing technical teams to meet strategic architectural objectives.
  • Develop solution architectures for assigned projects while supporting technology advancement and adaptation of new technologies.
  • Collaborate with IT Technology teams to implement ongoing monitoring of technology for incident configurations.
  • Guide Project Manager/Technology team managers on solution definition, technical design, and the development of in-house solutions, ensuring delivery within agreed costs and timelines.
  • Manage incidents and problems in alignment with the Problem Management Process.
  • Own and manage changes within the technology area and maintain high-quality documentation.
  • Manage End-of-life replacement of equipment/software to ensure conformity to technical standards.

Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • Proficiency in API Development and management tools (RESTful APIs is an added advantage)
  • Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) or Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) such as SnapLogic, Informatica, and Tibco
  • Proficiency in Messaging protocols (e.g., JMS, AMQP, Kafka) and platforms such as IBM MQ, Solace, and Active MQ
  • Knowledge of cloud-based integration platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments
  • Understanding of cloud concepts and container-based applications
  • Strong programming skills in languages commonly used in integration (e.g., Java, Python)
  • Experience with performance testing and monitoring of integration solutions
