The Senior Specialist - Technical Architecture role plays a crucial part in shaping and guiding the technological infrastructure and strategy of the organization. The individual in this position is responsible for aligning technology solutions with business goals and objectives, ensuring that systems and processes are efficient, scalable, and secure. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, including senior management, IT teams, and business units, to develop and implement innovative solutions that drive business growth and competitiveness.
Core42 is the UAE’s national-scale enabler for cloud and generative AI, combining G42 Group’s expertise across multiple technology disciplines into a single platform for public sector and large enterprise transformations. Responsibilities
- Assist in setting and establishing architectural baselines, data capturing, and capabilities required for the Operational EA Function.
- Support the overall EA function rollout and operational activities.
- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives.
- Define and communicate a clear technology roadmap outlining the evolution of the enterprise architecture over time.
- Offer guidance in the design and implementation of enterprise-wide technology solutions, ensuring consistency, compatibility, scalability, and security.
- Establish and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices across the organization.
- Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in enterprise architecture operations and suggest mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to evolve EA standards and align them with EA objectives through effective planning and requirements gathering.
- Provide oversight and governance for projects to ensure compliance with architectural standards and policies.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of technology vendors, managing relationships to align with enterprise architecture goals.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to IT teams, promoting innovation and excellence in architecture and design.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, driving continuous improvement within the enterprise architecture.
- Advance cloud strategy and participate in cloud and AI-driven initiatives in alignment with EA directives.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Preferred certifications in relevant technology streams, with Azure certifications being particularly valued. TOGAF certification is also preferred.

Minimum Experience:
- A total IT experience of 8 years, including at least 5 years in a relevant field.
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or similar role, with a deep understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing, enterprise systems integration, data architecture, and security principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with tools like PowerPoint, Word, MS Project, Visio, etc.
- Strategic thinking with high attention to detail.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and familiarity with DevOps practices.
- Understanding of business process modeling and re-engineering, as well as IT service management frameworks like ITIL.
- Experience with change management and organizational transformation initiatives.
