Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and architect robust Border Control, identity, and passport systems, including biometric data capture, document issuance, and border control solutions.
- System Design and Integration: Lead the technical design process, ensuring seamless integration of various components, such as biometric scanners, databases, and authentication protocols.
- Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders (Proposal Managers, Sales Managers, Business Line, etc.) to understand customer needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Vendor Evaluation: Evaluate and select appropriate technology vendors for hardware, software, and infrastructure components.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including Presales Managers, Service Managers, and clients.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential technical risks related to system implementation and propose mitigation strategies.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in solution architecture, system design, and implementation.
- Proven track record in identity management, passport systems, and or border control solutions.
- Familiarity with biometrics, PKI, and secure document issuance.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in system integration, database design, and network architecture.
- Technical writing.
- Knowledge of relevant standards (ICAO, ISO, etc.).
- Familiarity with technologies such as RFID, facial recognition, and fingerprint scanning.
- Understanding of cloud-based solutions and cybersecurity is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
- Results-oriented mindset.
This role involves occasional travel to client sites and international conferences. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
