Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned and experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong focus on technology projects in the data analytics and AI/ML domains. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building long-term customer relationships, engaging with C-level executives, managing consulting teams with profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities, closing deals, and providing leadership and mentorship to team members.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining long-term relationships, and understanding their business objectives and challenges.
- Engage with C-level executives to identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership, and effectively communicate the value proposition of our data analytics and AI/ML solutions.
- Lead and manage a consulting team, including project managers, data analysts, data scientists, and other technical professionals, to deliver successful projects and solutions to clients.
- Develop and execute project plans, ensuring alignment with client expectations, timelines, and budgets, and effectively manage project risks and issues.
- Manage profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities for projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, and ensure projects are delivered within scope and budget.
- Drive business development activities, including identifying new opportunities, participating in sales meetings and presentations, and leading proposal development efforts to win new business.
- Close deals with clients, negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms, and ensuring the successful transition of projects from sales to delivery.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics and AI/ML, and provide thought leadership and insights to clients and team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience as a project manager, with a focus on technology projects in the data analytics and AI/ML domains.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships, engaging with C-level executives, and closing deals.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team of consulting professionals.
- Experience managing profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities for projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2, are a plus.
