About the Job
As a Senior Automation Delivery Consultant at IBM, you will work closely with clients and partners to design, deliver, and optimize IBM Technology solutions that align with client goals. This role requires applying your technical expertise to ensure world-class delivery while leveraging your consultative skills, such as problem-solving, communication, and service orientation. You will collaborate with clients in a team environment with a focus on optimizing solutions that address significant business challenges. Your responsibilities will include understanding client challenges and collaborating on design, development, integration, implementation, migration, and product support.
Responsibilities
A ‘day-in-the-life’ of this role may include:
- Solving client challenges effectively by developing solutions that drive true business value.
- Creating and executing agile plans for installing and provisioning assets, testing, and production migration.
- Conducting technical solution workshops.
- Building effective relationships at all levels, from engineers to CxOs, to navigate and resolve debates effectively.
- Demonstrating self-motivation, curiosity, and initiative to navigate data and people to find answers.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work across clients, partners, and the IBM team.
Requirements
- A history of success as a delivery consultant, pre-sales, enterprise architect, or equivalent role with at least 6-7 years of experience.
- 4-5 years of experience in consulting with IBM products such as:
- IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (API Connect, DataPower, MQ, App Connect Enterprise)
- Basic experience with OpenShift, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Linux.
- Proven track record of at least 4-5 years in technical client management, both remotely and on-site.
- Experience handling difficult customers or situations with demonstrable resolutions.
- Ability to navigate data and people effectively to provide solutions.
- Ability to execute customer success plans to drive post-deployment adoption and guide clients through migration projects.
Preferred Skills
- Additional consulting skills in Cloud Pack for Integration and RedHat OpenShift Container Platform.
